Children’s Art Workshop Series

Port Allen – West Baton Rouge Museum is pleased to offer two monthly creative children’s workshops, one designed for ages 4-6 from 10:30-11:30am immediately followed by another class for 7-12 year old students from 12-1pm on the same day. This month’s Children’s Art with Ms. Shaun will be held on Saturday May 23, 2026.

The theme for the May classes feature cups full of creativity inspired the traveling exhibit, Finding Alice: Artists Exploring Wonderland featuring Abelardo Morell that showcases the drawings of many artists depicting the classic tale over time since its first printing in the 19th century. Early learners and older learners will build teacups from an array of media including clay and weaving materials and will explore the idea of big and small in relation to the character Alice growing taller and shorter in the beloved story.

This program is offered FREE of charge the 4th Saturday of the month except for alternate dates as needed for holidays and other special events.
