Come have a sweet ole time at the West Baton Rouge Museum’s 31st annual SugarFest on Sunday, October 4th from 11am-4pm. This free celebration of the sugar cane harvest features traditional folklife and occupational craft demonstrations, museum exhibits, historic buildings, cane cutting and grinding, syrup boiling, a tractor display and live music. Guests can also enjoy old-fashioned children’s activities, sweet treats, fresh chewing cane samples, a sweets contest and a rum tasting for ages 21 and older.
